Buttercream/Frosting Options

Italian Buttercream
Beautiful and silky, holds up the best in hot weather. We recommend this buttercream for all summer weddings that are outdoors, and for intricate/detailed designs.

American Buttercream
The most similar to homemade style frosting. It is sweeter and thicker than Italian buttercream. It has a matte finish, and while it does hold some designs, we generally recommend Italian buttercream for custom designs.

Cream Cheese Frosting
Deliciously creamy and tangy, but not as stable as other options. Because of this, we do not use it to frost the exterior of custom cakes. If you’d like a custom cake, we can fill the layers with cream cheese frosting, but we’d use American or Italian buttercream for the exterior.

Vegan Vanilla Frosting
Our vegan version of American buttercream. It does not hold up well in hot weather, and cakes will require refrigeration if warmer than 75 degrees out. On cupcakes, it can take a little more heat, but may still need to be refrigerated if it’s an extremely hot day.

Chocolate Frosting
Rich and chocolatey. It is vegan, but you wouldn’t know if we didn’t tell you! We can use this stable frosting for exterior finishes as well.

Vanilla Cake
Delicious plain, or pairs perfectly with raspberry compote and either Italian or American buttercream.

Chocolate Cake
Two popular pairings are:
Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting (we can finish the exterior with white buttercream for custom designs).
Chocolate cake with salted caramel and chocolate frosting (we can finish the exterior with white buttercream for custom designs).

Lemon Cake
Two popular pairings are:
Lemon cake with tart and creamy lemon curd filling and Italian buttercream.
Lemon cake with fresh blueberry compote filling and Italian buttercream.

Red Velvet Cake
Lightly chocolate red velvet cake, filled with cream cheese frosting (finished with Italian or American buttercream for custom designs).

Gluten Free Carrot Cake
Loaded with shredded carrots, coconut, and raisins. Usually paired with cream cheese frosting (we can finish the exterior with white buttercream for custom designs).
For a vegan and gluten free option, fill & finish with our vegan vanilla frosting.

Gluten Free Chocolate Cake
Two popular pairings are:
Chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting (available v & gf, or can be finished with white buttercream for custom designs).

Spiced with cinnamon and perfect for fall. For an added bite of fall, we can add our apple compote.
